Gymnastics
Beginning Gymnastics
Dates: January 15-March 19
Is your child eager to learn rolls, cartwheels, handstands, and other basic tumbling skills? Sign up for one of our 12-week gymnastics sessions! These classes will be 45-75 minutes, with an 8 to 1 student to instructor ratio. Our tumbling studio features carpeted foam floors, a low balance beam, a training bar, and other fun equipment to learn and play on!
Intermediate Gymnastics
Dates: January 16-March 20
This class is for gymnasts who can already do a straight cartwheel, a standing backbend or front limber, and a handstand that is at least ¾ to vertical. We will work on back and front walkovers, round-offs, vertical handstands, and other intermediate gymnastics skills.
Intro to Sewing
Dates:
Session 1: January 15-February 12. Register for Session 1

Calling all creative 3rd-5th graders! Over the course of 5 weeks in 90-minute sessions, this intro to sewing class will delve into different hand-sewing techniques. Every student will walk away with their own plush friend to cuddle for life! No experience required, all materials provided. Instructor Aberdeen leads a fiber arts club in our after school program at Sellwood Community House, where felt friends are always in rotation. The same class will be offered both sessions.
Art Literacy Academy
Dates:
Session 1: January 11-February 8. Register for Session 1

Saturdays | 10 AM - 12:00 PM | $200 for a 5-week session / Registration Required | art room
Instructor Serene Greene is a long-time artist and art educator. In this 5-week class, children in grades k-5 will deepen their understanding of individual artists by learning about the different cultures, techniques, and influences that shaped their artistic journeys. Then, inspired by these artists, participants will create their own unique art pieces. Your budding artist won't want to miss this creative and inspiring class! Sessions will not repeat, so you can sign up for one or both.

tuesdays | 6:30-7:15 PM | free / registration required | Sellwood Community House
In this free 6-week series, you and your child will explore tools to aid with troubling emotions, learn how to hone and focus your attention, and bring awareness into the moment. This class is taught by David Gluck, an educator, certified yoga and mindfulness teacher, and acting Director of Children's Ministries at Moreland Presbyterian Church. In addition, David is a longtime meditator and is delighted to share these transformative tools with children in grades k-5 and their families. Space is limited so please sign up to reserve your spot.
