School Year Counselor-in-Training (CIT)
January-March | weekday afternoons | sellwood community house
The Counselors in Training (CITs) are a huge part of what makes summer camp at SCH so special, and now that fun can continue all year!
We invite any middle schooler who loves helping out (think leading crafts, gym games, silly dance parties, and more) to sign up to assist in our ASE program with K-5 students.
Limited spots will be available, with sign-ups posted one month at a time. If this sounds like something you would enjoy, please fill out the interest form!

Volunteer-Led Classes, Clubs & Events
Do you have a hobby or talent that you would like to teach, a guided walk or tour you would like to lead, or another proposal you would like to share with us? The Reading & Brain Games clubs are shining examples of volunteer-led clubs. Favorite past events include the popular Ghost Tours last fall and the History Happy Hour neighborhood walks last spring.
If you would like to submit an idea, click here to fill out our Volunteer-Led Events Form, and thank you!
Join a Committee
The SCH Board has a number of standing committees, including Finance, Building, and Fundraising that are always looking for new members! If you have an interest and professional experience in these or other areas, consider joining a committee! Board membership is not a prerequisite for joining a committee, just an excitement to make a difference.
If you have any questions or are interested in learning more, please reach out to our executive director, Ashley Murray, at ashley@sellwoodcommunityhouse.org.
